    Course Description

In the third and final course in the trauma-informed-care practices series, participants will learn how trauma disrupts development for individuals and their communities. We will introduce the concepts of transgenerational trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and posttraumatic growth. Learners will begin to identify the elements of trauma-informed practices that promote resilience by deconstructing components of music therapy sessions. Included will be video examples of resilience-building Therapeutic Music Experiences (TME) for music therapists to begin implementing in their work. Trauma-informed business practices will also be included.
